Klarna Pay Later
At Norma James we always put our customers first, and prioritise convenience at every stage of the shopping journey. We have teamed up with Klarna to put your user experience front and centre – giving you an additional payment option, and, most significantly the opportunity to try clothes at home and only pay for the things you love! As of the 16th May 2018, Norma James will let you try before you buy with the Klarna Pay Later payment method.
Now, you’ve probably got 100 questions already, so we are going to try help answer some of the questions that you may have about Klarna!
This new and innovative service is simple and easy to use, allowing you to only pay for what you keep using the following steps:
- Choose what you’d like to try and have it delivered via any of our fast and easy delivery options
- Try everything on at home and decide what you would like to keep
- Return the items that aren’t right for you
- You will only pay for what you keep, within 14 days of your order being dispatched – with no interest or fees. Klarna will contact you with payment instructions
Even better, there is no account sign up required, all you need is to be 18 years + and have a UK registered billing and shipping address. If you’d prefer you can pay the full amount up front using Klarna’s Pay Now service.
What is Klarna?
Klarna was founded in 2005 in Stockholm, Sweden with the aim of making it easier for people to shop online. Having grown substantially since then, Klarna is now one of Europe’s largest banks. They provide payment solutions to 60 million consumers across 89,000 merchants in 14 countries. Norma James’ partnership with Klarna will now allows us to offer direct payment and pay later options to our fabulous customers.
What are my payment options with Klarna?
You can pay immediately with debit or credit card (Visa/Mastercard) in the checkout or take advantage of our Pay Later payment option, where you can pay for the goods once you have received them via debit or credit card.
Does the Klarna Pay Later option run a credit search against me?
No, neither Norma James or Klarna run a credit search against you that could impact your credit score. Klarna may run a quotation enquiry which only you, and no one else, can see, and which does not affect your credit rating.
What details are needed when making a purchase?
When you make a purchase with Klarna you need to provide your name, address and email address. For some orders you may need to provide your mobile number or date of birth. All information will be sent to your email address, including payment reminders and links to your online statements. It’s very important that you provide us with the correct details, otherwise you will not receive the payment information and will liable for delayed payment fees.
Is my payment information safe?
Klarna processes payment information securely. No card details will be transferred to or held by Norma James. All transactions take place via connections secured with the latest industry standard security protocols.
After placing an order, I have been asked to go to Klarna’s website is this correct?
If you have chosen to Pay Later with a 14 day period, Klarna will send you an email with further details on how to pay. Your email will contain a link to Klarna’s website where you can settle your payment with your credit or debit card. If you do not pay Klarna within the grace period, late fees may apply.
Have you received my payment?
When you pay by card, Norma James will confirm your order straight away. If you are paying via Pay Later, Klarna will send you a payment confirmation email for your order. If you have made a payment but not received the payment confirmation, you can always check the status of your order and payments by logging in at www.klarna.com.
How can I cancel my order?

With Pay Later what should I do if I want to return part or all of my order?
As normal, return your order with your completed returns form within 14 days of receipt. If you are close to your Klarna Pay Later payment due date, you should contact Karma customer service so they can make any necessary adjustments to your statement and provide you with additional help.
When I’ve returned my order, what happens to my invoice?
When Norma James receives a return (partial or full) , you will receive confirmation of this. If you have made a partial return, an updated statement will be sent to you by Klarna. If you have returned your full order, your payment reminders by Klarna should cease.
Why am I not eligible for the Pay Later delivery option?
Although Pay Later is widely promoted it is not always universally available. The Pay Later method is automatically generated by algorithms that are dependent upon a number of factors including amount of order, the e-store, previous order history and item availability. Alternatively, you are able to complete your order by paying by credit or debit card at the checkout.

My application hasn’t been accepted?
Klarna is a third party payment service and Norma James has no control over the financial decisions made by them. If you aren’t accepted by Klarna then please contact them directly.
